Sunday: Chasing The Cherry Blossom

Barney gave K. quite a nasty scratch last night.  I guess the lesson is not to come between a cat and his catnip.  Don't tell Barney this, but Fred and Max never scratched, not once.  We obviously still have to learn his boundaries and parameters and adapt accordingly.

The cherry blossom is starting to come out in force today so we took a bit of a 'hunt the cherry blossom' drive.  It can be short-lived if we have wind and rain so it's lovely to catch it while you can.

K. was in the mood to buy some Bertrand Russell today (very specific, I know) so we headed into town to visit 'Macleod's' bookshop.  It's wonderfully eclectic, if slightly overwhelming in its disarray.  While in that neck of the woods, we also discovered 'Paper Hound', a beautifully curated, and much more manageable, second hand (and new) bookstore.  Our parking was about to run out, so we didn't linger, but we'll definitely be back for a good browse.  We told the owner there that Macleod's could be a little frenetic - he sympathized fully as he used to work there.  Anyway, K. was successful in her Bertrand hunt.
