Timid Turtle

Decided to have a day off today, and go for a long walk together and catch up. Beautiful fresh, sunny day. Walked along the Lake, looking for turtles. Just as we'd given up, Mike spoke, and one jumped off a rock into the water. They are so easily startled. But I waited and crept along, getting closer, and gradually it started sticking its head out again... this was the best I got before it sensed me and swam off into deeper water. Shame you can't see its eye very well, it's there on the dark underside of its head.
