We had a free day so were on the go non stop! Caught the metro (so efficient and clean) to Karlsplatz where we visited the CD shop (!) and then a dream of mine was (unexpectedly) fulfilled when we managed to watch a practice at the Spanish Riding School. Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take photos.
That evening we attended a magnificent performance of the ballet Nutcracker Suite at the State Opera. It was a different version choreographed by Rudolf Nureyev and it was brilliant.
This photo is of a statue of Mozart. I loved the treble cleff done with flowers.
