Meet and Eat

The relationship of the Malaysian people and food continues to intrigue me. It is not strange to have food offered during meetings. The food can be eaten before the start of early morning meetings, sometimes after the meeting or breaks during the meeting. Often even while the meeting is ongoing. It is also dependent on the custom followed by a particular company. At the meeting today we had some local treats as well as tasty packets of Nasi Lemak, the packaging in this case quite stylish. Nasi Lemak is a Malay fragrant rice dish cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaf. The dish in its different variations is very popular and is considered the national dish.
