paperweight

A lot of heavy rain today. Molly wasn't keen on going out until it faired up a little late this afternoon. Meant I was able to catch up on some indoor work. Decided on an indoor blip today. This is a glass paperweight I was given many years ago. I'm not sure what plant is meant to be inside but it is quite colourful. I'm not sure where this one comes from but, as a child, I used to go to watch them blowing glass and making paperweights at the glassworks on the outskirts of Crieff. Those ones were made using lots of tiny beads to make the floral patterns. That was a long, long time ago and it is no longer there.
