textured thimble...

all thimbles are small - most have some sort of texture to them as well - however to have painted texture is something quite unique - plus unusual to find on a metal thimble

when my mama went to a garage sale - she noticed a small box - which had many thimbles in it - she bartered a price for it - then sent it to me - this tiny bird thimble was tucked into one corner - of the box and once i cleaned it - i found it had all this amazing color - texture and shading to it - forcing me to fall in love with the bird of it - who knew they designed thimbles like this - back in the 50's? - leave it to a mama to make such a find - and allow me to call it...
