Easter is a-coming

Being Saturday it was time for our weekly Music Group session. I'd rung the doorbell and was waiting for today's host to let me in when I spotted this rather attractive Easter display on the neighbour's door.

Music over (a great session today celebrating the music of Debussy and Rachmaninov because each has a significant anniversary at this time — Debussy 100 years dead on the 25th, Rachmaninov 75 years dead on the 28th), I had just about time to head back home, freshen up, change and get back in to town to meet Carl and our friend Tom for one of our Chew & Chat evenings.

We went to Urban Brewing, a new kid on the restaurant block. It's in the CHQ building in the Financial Services Centre and is notable for having opened up the basement vaults as part of the space. That's where we ate the Tapas menu (six delicious choices shared between us). Food duly enjoyed, we adjourned to the in-the vaults bar (as one does) and then to the upstairs one when the basement had shut. Imagine our surprise when it suddenly became 2 am and the staff were anxious to see the back of us.
