A NEW BIRD...

... new to me anyway.

I was quite sure this bird was an Ibis because of its size and beak shape, etc., but I’d never seen an Ibis with such beautiful, iridescent feathers of dark green and burgundy.  I googled it and discovered it is called a GLOSSY IBIS.  Before this visit to Florida, I had only known of an American White Ibis, then I learned of a Black Ibis recently when one was posted on Blip. Now this beauty!  It was really exciting to see when the sun brought the colors to life.  (This shot isn’t the greatest, but was the best angle I could get today. And since it’s a new discovery for me, I just had to post it.)
