Sloppy Painter

When I see a male American Goldfinch in the spring, before the molting to breeding plumage is complete, I feel like using a paintbrush.  It's as if the painter did a sloppy job and a touch up is needed.  This guy is going to be a beauty in a couple of weeks.

The Pileated Woodpecker was back again this morning.  He obviously knows where to find a steady supply of suet.  Thanks for honoring him yesterday with comments, stars and hearts.  I have a feeling it won't be my last blip of the stunning redhead.
