Today's the day ......................... to hunt

Finding hidden Easter eggs can be serious business.

And when I say that, I mean it in the most literal sense.  Our nearest National Trust property - Sizergh Castle - has been advertising its 'Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts'  taking place throughout the Easter Weekend at a cost of £2 per child.  You don't have to book - just turn up and take part.

And it seems that hundreds of people have taken them at their word.  The car park has been full to overflowing each day very early on - and the long driveway in has been grid-locked.  But apparently people are prepared to queue for as long as it takes, presumably so they can say that they took part.  It seems to me a sad reflection on modern-day life that people need to be entertained.  The idea of a bit of home entertainment is just not enough.

Well - it is in this house.  We had a family Easter lunch - and then a brilliant Easter egg hunt in the garden.  Everyone took part and lots of fun was had by all ...........................
