Chinook artist

Artist Greg A. Robinson, showing through Quintana Galleries in Portland, which specializes in Native American, Arctic, and Mexican art.

This exhibit and artist talk was by invitation only. I'm so glad I went. The artist has been a carver in wood and stone*, and started working intensively in acrylics only since 2016. He has developed very fast! His paintings are based on Chinook culture, to honor it and to help preserve it. I was impressed, and can't wait to see his next show.

* Portland locals: Note that three of Greg's sculptures can be seen at both ends of the new Tilikum Crossing Bridge.

Extra: Gallery director Cecily Quintana with one of Greg's large paintings on canvas.
