Sudden quiet in the garden!

No wonder all the birds disappeared  as this rather elegant Sparrowhawk perched on the garden fence! It really was rather magnificent.
The river is high today a it has rained all night and all day. A miserable Bank Holiday but this Sparrowhawk  gave me a little excitement today.
