Weeds Day 4/7: Weeds and other undesirables

This scene could unfortunately be anywhere. In this case outside one of the 1* establishments in West Cliff.

On the return bumped into a lovely Italian who stems from same part of Italy as husband. We all went for an Aspall near the beach. He’s working his way up the hospitality ladder and has recently started a plum job. Always happy to see the young hard-working Europeans here escape minimum pay as so many have good qualifications but can’t find decent work in their own countries. And many of them have become ‘friends’.

Second day of exercising our feet. 8km, 11,000 steps both days. Just along the beach, on the Overcliff and back through town. It got to me yesterday tho’ and I crashed at 9:30 pm, and slept like a log.

Meeting friends of bro and sis-in-law for a coffee this morning. Also just returned after years in the Costa and looking to buy down here. We were pioneers (from the big city, not the Costa) and they are all following!

Looking a bit grey and wet out there, but brightening up. And temperatures improving. Leaving in an hour. Things to do ...
