Beef casserole with dumplings

Rhona made these dumplings all by herself. She weighed out the flour, rubbed in the butter, stirred in the water then rolled them into balls before brushing them with egg and plopping them in the stew I had made. I thought it was a delicious tea, Euan enjoyed the beef and some of the veg in the sauce, while Rhona ate only the carrots after trying everything else and deciding she didn’t like it! Oh well, another meal tried and another “meh” reaction.
