Waiting for Waiting for …

We went to the theatre tonight. To the highly-acclaimed Druid Theatre production of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot. One critic described this as 'the best production of the play in twenty-five years'. I won't dispute that. A superb cast and perfect staging: there isn't much more you could ask for.

This was in the Pavilion Theatre in Dún Laoghaire. Afterwards we retired to the nearby McKenna's pub to muse about what we'd seen and heard and to ponder the pointlessness of the human condition.
