I haven't made one of these for a while but today seemed as good a time as any, especially as the weather still isn't tempting me outside.

The overall appearance isn't quite what I was aiming for - I think I needed to make the cuts on the top of the loaf deeper to encourage it to open out more, which improves the texture as well as the look. But it should be tasty notwithstanding - looking forward to trying a slice once it's cooled.
