Bed Making As An Artform

Beds with flat quilts on them are old-fashioned and boring.  Beds should be made with artistic flair, and it was here that Munni intervened and made this more of an art installation than a bed.

You can't see her but the quilt lines are indubitably her work - there is no other Bettkünstlerin* who can give a quilt this kind of ironic - but understated - dynamism.  You can see influences of Frida Katzelo and perhaps at a stretch, Gabriele Miauter.

Alternatively we can just enjoy Munni having a duvet day.  She likes a snuggle does our Munni.  And she's quite right.  I find that if you get up then people have the expectation that you're going to work.  And where's the fun in that?**

*Bettkünstlerin is a new word - 1:1 translated "female bed artist".  That -in ending means that you know it is female, the male version would be Bettkünstler.  I'm not sure I've coined it 100% correctly - would Bettenkünstlerin be better?  I don't think so because that's "female beds artist" and it looks clumsy.

**Lots of fun actually.  A fair amount of stress as well, but there are laughs to be had.
