Kebles Seat

Despite the poor weather forecast seven of us from the local walking group turned up for a local walk to discover Kebles Seat.  We were rained on, warmed by brief periods of sun and finally hailed on as we returned to the cars in Colaton Raleigh.  This shot shows Kebles Seat, if you look closely, which is a brown bench situated near the top of Mutters Moor with views across to Newton Poppleford and the hills behind.  It is said to have been a favourite view of the 19th century Poet John Keble who was a professor at Oxford College after which Keble College Oxford is named.  He later retired to become a vicar.
