Aftermath.....of a wet Easter

The river levels whilst remaining high are slowly dropping. However the land is saturated indicated by this photo. In the summer Lowther House (the building in the photo) opens as a tea garden.

Richard managed to lose a glove on today’s walk. Whilst I headed for home he backtracked to find it. Unfortunately a heavy shower began as I reached home. Guessed as to the way he would return and set out to meet him in the car. Managed to save him a rather wet walk home so I am now in credit with Brownie points.
