Back on the Leeds Liverpool Canal

A glorious day to return to our quest of walking the Leeds Liverpool Canal. Today we did another eleven miles. It meant starting at Wigan Pier where we finished our last walk back on 23rd July. When we got to Wigan I got the phone call to say my Dad had passed away suddenly. This was a ghost I needed to lay. It 's only a place after all. We walked to Burscough and very pleasant it was too.

This photo was taken once we got into the countryside outside of Wigan. I like the way it invites you into the distance, which incidentally was today's blip challenge.
