Daffodil lesson

After my father died few years ago, I purchased a large bag of mixed daffodil bulbs and planted them around the field and yard, a memorial for him. That added to the already existing ones that had been thriving around the land since before we moved here. This year I've noticed that a certain type of double daffodils from the mixed bag are not doing well. The flower heads seem to be too heavy for the stem, everyone of them has broken and bent over. Lesson learned: Don't buy daffodils with too heavy heads!
