A cold and frosty morning !

Very frosty morning, and feeling very cold indeed ! When I took Maeve the Deerhound out for her early walk along the canal bank it was wonderful to see the frost on the grass and on all the locks of the canal. The water wasn't showing any signs of freezing though.

After breakfast and packing the car we decided it would be lovely to see Kilmartin Glen in the frost so we drove up to the car park at the South end of the Glen and walked over to the standing stones. It was bright and the sky was showing signs of the impending change of weather with the beginnings of frontal cloud and the grass was still frosted so it was all very wintry and rather spectacular.

After that it was the drive East back to Carnoustie. With an early lunch stop at The Green Welly Stop at Tyndrum and a stop at Broughty Ferry M&S to pick up something for dinner we were home by mid afternoon. I'm already looking forward to the next time ...
