Not what he had in mind

The Thomas Jefferson Memorial, modeled after the Pantheon of Rome, is a memorial to our third president.  Architect John Russell Pope's intention was to synthesize Jefferson's contribution as a statesman, architect, President, drafter of the Declaration of Independence, adviser of the Constitution and founder of the University of Virginia.
Jefferson was a defender of democracy who listened to his constituents and advisors unlike the current orange-haired guy.  Trump, the “very stable genius” prefers to follow his own instincts — you know, the ones that led him into  six corporate bankruptcies.
Years from now the Trump memorial will be a dust bin reminding us of  the belligerence and isolationism that fueled his “America First” campaign.
