Another Wainwright bagged

The weather was so nice this morning we looked at the list of outstanding Wainwrights to find a not-too-challenging one to test Janes ankle.   We headed for Grasmere and managed to get to the top of Stone Arthur before the masses ascended on it.

Although not a long walk it was pretty steep and the terrain was rough enough to test the ankle which thankfully survived and we made it back down by lunchtime.

This is the view from the top in which you can see Windermere (just),  Alcock Tarn,  Elterwater,  Coniston and Grasmere.

135 Wainwrights now in the bag and we feel more confident to crack on with them again next time we come up.
