I Remember Adlestrop

It's been a lovely day today!
Went on a longer than expected U3A walk, 6.5 miles, taking in Oddington and, as you can see, Adlestrop. The main image shows the bus shelter which now houses the old railway station sign. The extra shows the plaque with the famous Adlestrop poem by Edward Thomas. Sadly he died in France a few years later, serving in the British Army in the Great War.
Had a nice pub lunch afterwards, and then a sleep, to build up some energy for Murder On The Orient Express this evening!
