The difference a day makes

After yesterday's sleet and snow today dawned bright and frosty but soon warmed up. By this afternoon most of the snow had disappeared from the hill although the Lammermuirs, which are much higher, are still white.
This is a picture of the Garleton Hill taken about 8.30am this morning. I drove over it at lunchtime and there was still a bit of slush on the carriageway but it had more or less gone by the time I came back a couple of hours later. The good news is the forecast for the weekend and next week is for milder weather.
