RW's Daily Exposures

Two Young Bucks

California Black-Tail Deer. Two young males, one with a broken off antler, and a wound on his leg. They both walked by me in the preserve and the one on the left was limping a bit, then I noticed only one antler on his right side. The other one (on the right, looking at the camera), was younger and his antlers are just starting to develop.

There's plenty of deer on the preserve. Some evenings we can look at of our office and see as many as a dozen in our small field. There's also Fox, a Coyote family (den), Mountain lions, Bob Cats, along with other reptiles, a wide variety of bird species, ground squirrels, tree squirrels, gophers, voles and snakes. That's why they call it a preserve. Right in the heart of Apple country - Cupertino California.

Enjoy!
