Bird with a beard

I spotted this great tit on the tree outside my dining room window with what I'm guessing is some discarded fur from brushing our cat. It looked very strange. The bird hung around for a long time so I guess s/he was happy to be my blip today. I guess it is being used for a nest ... that's recycling for you.
