Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2018 Thursday — California’s Central Coast

We have not been to our place in Cayucos since the last weekend in February.

As we approached our exit from the highway, the three pups in the backseat started their celebration chorus. Max whines; Mitzi does a crazy dog song; and little Chloe (pictured) does a crying sound. They know where we are.

We missed coming to the coast the entire month of March. We’ve experienced the death of two of our parents during that time — Mr. Fun’s mom and “Pops” my stepdad, but more like a real dad.

“Overwhelming” hardly describes this past month’s emotion and physical labor as we’ve “unloaded” Grammie Fun’s house to prepare to get it ready to give to the estate sales people.

When I walked out of the classroom this morning spring break began for me. I headed for home and as quickly as possible we started the 4-hour journey to our Cayucos destination. We can’t stay the entire 11days till I am due back in the classroom on Tuesday, April 17, because we have too much happening in SoCal, but we’ll stay as long as possible.

It’s good to be at the ocean,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
