Sacrifice

We stumbled bleary-eyed through the neighbourhood at 6.30am to find a family that was sacrificing an animal for Eid al-Adha and, just around the corner, came across a crowd of people getting ready to sacrifice a bull. Difficult to put the experience into words. Grateful for the sacrifice animals make so that we may eat.
