RW's Daily Exposures

By rwsphotography

Western Bluebird

Photo taken during a 4-hour "Sit" with one of our Birdathon fundraising teams. Over 30 species were seen during a beautiful spring day, including a pair of Golden eagles, Bald eagle, and a Lewis's woodpecker (rare to see in this part of the county.

Getting shots of the Golden eagles and the Bald eagle were difficult as they had the sun to their backs and contrast was a problem for a decent photo. All birds were identified by experts and agreed by at least one other person. A fun time was had by all. This team is on the way to raise over $2k. Not bad for four hours of work.

Extras are Purple finch and Rock wren, both seen at same event.
