Magnolia

A & I visited the St Andrews Botanic Gardens this afternoon. At this time of year I always try to visit when the majestic magnolia (magnolia sargentia) is in bloom but this year there is hardly a bud as yet! Last year it was well on by this time. This beautiful specimen is in one of the glasshouses where we were directed by one of the gardeners. There was so much to see that I'm sure it will not be long till I'm back!
