Optimistic!

I suppose I was being a little optimistic to expect our magnolia tree to burst into life in just ten days, given the rather depressing weather we are still suffering.

True there was every promise of Spring being with us, even though that was supported by little evidence. Even so the individual goblet shaped bloom show far more promise today.

I have seen one or two examples already in full bloom in nearby gardens . . . yet I anticipate this one will be something special.

For one thing it’s ours!
