Gallery flowers

I came to Russo Lee Gallery to look at art, and was enchanted by the floral display in the front window.

Extras
The bouquets, shown with a detail of a painting by Gregory Grenon (April).
A painting of flowers by Sherrie Wolf (May).

GALLERY FLOWERS

The artist's flowers
surely must perfume the air —
they're realer than real.

God's flowers astound
in a different way — brief lives,
poignant beauty, death.

Oil paint on canvas
doesn't last forever, though —
nothing's eternal.

God alone lives on.
We give thanks for transient gifts
in our brief moment.
