Winter drawers on

Awoke this morning with a freezing big toe, and a distinct chill in the bedroom. The temperature has plummeted overnight probably as a result of the north wind bringing a touch of the arctic that GB has suffered for the last few days.

There is serious snow on the Pyrenees for the first time, and the wind is howling about the eaves, quick trip to kitchen and back beneath the covers with a cup of tea. There are some compensations for not having to take the dog out.

We have to take a trip to Barcelona later to deliver Jack for his flight back to Scotland after his half term hibernation, he hasn't emerged from under the duvet before 11.30 am any morning for the last fortnight (almost). This apparently increases the power of his brain, or so he read on the internet.

So boy-less again, roll on the Christmas hols.
