Towards the Tin Pub

A mixed kind of day - drizzle, mizzle, a bit of sunshine, a bit of warmth and a slight easterly. The birds are out in force and the warbling is mighty. I have done useful stuff today and caught up with myself.

We did a quick yomp around the circuit. Here we are just out of our gate heading up the road towards the Tin Pub, currently closed but opening for the season in May - the little boreen to the right leads down to Kitchen Cove. On our way back we passed a tiny tidal pond and were thrilled to see not one but two kingfishers flash by. Talking of wildlife - I had to shut the conservatory door today for Fineen was full of mischief - ravenous, and curious. Earth was scattered from the flower pots, my wellies nibbled, the cats muttered at and she even came into the kitchen and tried to make off with some socks that were in my boots.

Off to a talk on the Lusitania tonight so will catch up later.
