Mini Lion

This stunning recreation of a traction engine done in flowers for a friend's daughter, whose father in law was laid to rest today, is a replica of one the FiL owned many years ago. The detail was amazing and the sprayed chrysanthemums looked wonderful. The florist did exceptionally well - it looked splendid and even had steam coming out the funnel!
Many teas and coffees were poured to go with the delicious sandwiches, quiches, cakes, scones (with cream and jam)  etc  which were made and laid out for the mourners.
I have very clean hands after assisting in the kitchen.
A sad day that seemed to go as well as can be expected. 
Home now with my own cuppa and a slice of the left over cake. Yum!
