Cold and damp

Well, after only three days since the demise of the dearly beloved boiler...the house is now very cold (54 deg F) and very damp (80% humidity), with cold wet washing everywhere. 

I have always thought of years gone by as happy times, but being reminded of no heating in winter and a scarcity of warm water, kind of refocuses the mind!
