Portavadie Ferry

This morning was cold but dry and bright and we decided to make the most of the bright morning as the weather forecast suggested that the afternoon may be more overcast.
We headed for Tarbert, as our plan was to have a walk around Tarbert and then to travel round the single track road to Kilberry which has great views over the Sound of Jura.
It was still quite cold but bright in Tarbert when we arrived,so I enjoyed our walk around the harbour before heading off towards the Portavadie ferry terminal where we saw the ferry come in.
The journey round to Kilberry was beautiful, the colour of the trees and the views of Jura were wonderful. We stopped off to see the Kilberry Sculptured Stones before heading back to Lochgilphead and lunch at the Smiddy Bistro.
We rounded of our day with a walk along the canal as far as Bellanoch Bridge and back to the house.
