Mixture

With a group of friends, I followed a Heritage Trail in our neighbouring village of Effingham. Armed with a detailed leaflet we explored the village roads and read the histories of the cottages and houses. The house in the blip is a listed sixteenth century house with a distinctive Dutch gable end, an unusual juxtaposition.
Our route took in the churchyard where we found the tombstone of Sir Barnes Wallis, inventor of the bouncing bomb, see extra.
