Across Andalucia

Yesterday and today; and then up through Murcia, then Alicante...

Zero degrees as we crossed the Sierra de Huétor, and snow falling.

Rows and rows of deep pink blossom against the white snow as we descended.

Views of the majestic, snow covered Sierra Nevada, shining white in the sunshine.

Tunnel under the fortress castle at Lorca.

First view of the Med, turquoise through the rain-spattered windscreen.

The shock of Benidorm, more high-rise buildings per capita in the world, and the highest hotel in Europe, 186 metres tall, and another, even higher residential building, the Intempo.

Arriving in Calp/Calpe (Castilian/Valencian), to our conference hotel, and our corner room on the ninth floor, so grateful for comfort!

A rainbow stretching behind the high-rises, looking out to sea.

Dinner, meeting old friends, sitting with one from our home church.

My husband, who did all the driving, what a hero. And what a drive.
