AT146 Repetition in Poole Park

Where the locals go. This really is paradise for families (dog-walkers , and others). The most beautiful park with extensive views across the huge lake. Lots of happy swans, geese and other birds. Then enter a short tunnel and you are by Poole Harbour and it’s a short stroll to the Quayside.

“Poole Park
100 acres of parkland, in town.
Poole Park is an urban park adjacent to Poole Harbour in Poole. The park was opened during the Victorian era and has remained popular with visitors ever since.

Famous for its aquatic birds and miniature railway, Poole's Victorian park is great venue for relaxing and playing. It was opened in 1890 by HRH Edward Prince of Wales, the park enjoys an open aspect to the south with extensive views across Poole Harbour to the Purbeck Hills beyond. It covers an area of more than 100 acres, 60 acres of which - unusually for an urban space - comprise freshwater and brackish lakes.”
