Wells Cathedral Steps

Ever since I was a child, when we used to call at Wells on our way to Exmoor on holiday from Worcestershire, I have loved Wells Cathedral - the light, the medieval stained glass and the incredible proportions of the vaulting but most of all these steps up to the Chapter House, worn away by thousands of feet over centuries.
We had a lovely afternoon pottering round the cathedral after a scrum lunch in the cathedral cafe.
.........oh and DON'T WORRY about the weather any more - I've bought a new waterproof jacket and waterproof trousers after my soaking on Monday - queue Heatwave:)) !!!
.......and the house martins are back under our eaves- so thrilled.
