Pumpkins with Gene

He said he's hanging in there. His wife is still very ill, his daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer and his crop failed - enough problems for 10 people. I said: "For 10 people, for 10 YEARS!"
But he's still laughing his hearty belly laugh, people drive from all over the place to see him and he has trusty employees - like the woman who stood beside him, joking around, that has been working for him for 22 years.

When I asked if it was okay to take his annual photo for my records he said: "You just try to leave without!"

I'm already looking forward to next year - I so adore hanging out with Gene the Pumpkin Man.
