Finally! Yea!

The Winged Elm in the back yard is beginning to leaf out. The squirrels have been scampering through it's branches for a week or so now in gleeful squirrel anticipation! They absolutely LOVE the Elm's tiny little leaf shoots! They become daredevils drunk on even the thought of those tiny green delicacies, hanging upside down and inching out on precariously thin branches to reach them. See ELM DELIGHT from last year.
Our new Live Oak was delivered and installed ('planted' for the rest of us) this morning. Five guys with shovels dug a hole large enough for the 45 gallon, 10' tree. See the *extra for Connie admiring the 'little' beauty. This young tree replaces the large Large Old Laurel Oak we had to take down a couple of weeks ago. Wecome to our family and wishing you a Long and Happy Life little Live Oak!

 "Advice from a Tree...
  Stand Tall and Proud
Sink your roots into the Earth
Be content with your Natural Beauty
  Go out on a limb
  Drink plenty of water
  Remember your Roots
  Enjoy the view!"
