Retirement

While shopping for other things I impulse-bought some new slippers yesterday, as these ones are overdue retirement.

They have actually had quite an exciting life, being worn while their owner was taken into armed police custody during what can only be Britishly described as a misunderstanding.  At least they were useful for making conversation in the back of the police van.
