Got it!

A lovely surprise this morning – sunshine!

Our daughter, son-in-law and dog Coopers arrived in Craster late last night, after driving up from London, and it was cold, damp and foggy.

Then this morning we woke to sunshine and we sat in the sunroom watching the waves sparkling in the light before setting off to walk to Dunstanburgh Castle. Fine, still, warm and some hazy sunshine – perfect for walking, right by the sea, with the castle in the distance. Coopers spent a lot of the time running backwards and forwards and was exhausted by the time we set off back.

A bit of lunch and then we went into Alnwick for a visit to Barter Books and a play by the sea at Alnmouth. Coopers is impressive at retrieving a ball from the waves – she never fails. She’s now flat out asleep and we are off to the Jolly Fisherman for something to eat. A really lovely day. The weather changed at just the right moment.
