Lanzarote Sunrise

If I'd waited until my alarm had gone off, I would have missed this completely. Fortunately, Kate was already up, and as soon as the sky started to look interesting she got me up to head down to the beach with camera and tripod. And then made me some coffee.

The sunrise was beautiful. I must confess that I haven't seen that many - but I'm sure this was one of the better ones.

The boat was, inconveniently, travelling at quite a speed (I was hoping for long exposures, low ISO, etc.) but looked wonderful with all it's sparkly lights on the horizon.

Afterwards, we sat and enjoyed our coffee as the day got brighter and warmer... what a start to British Winter Time.
