Breaks my heart

Thomas wanted to take the helmet into school for show and tell. I spoke to his teacher about it and agreed he could take it in on Thursday. After telling him he sat down unprompted and wrote this for grandad which made me want to sob not only coz he isn’t here but also because Thomas felt compelled to reach out to him!
