Two sides to Chelsea

We went to Tate Britain today to see the Impressionists in London Exhibition, which taught me so much about parts of 19th Century France I had no idea of, and showed me London in a different light.

On the way there we passed this row of washing lines for a block of flats that seemed such an unusual thing to see in Central London, and then as we walked across the parade ground of Chelsea College of Art there was this wonderful sculpture of a fish which, because of the manner in which it is constructed it gives it a fuzzy look.

Such visual contrasts before going back nearly 150 years to paintings of London
